Penalties drama for Under 10's

A Penalty Shoot Out (Lime No Other!!!)

During the League festival on the 2nd September with an Edgar Street Final Berth at stake the under 10’s were involved in the never seen before… a 3 way penalty shoot out….followed by yet another first, never seen before sudden death 3 way penalty shootout.

Sound’s confusing ? It was… after playing in a group of 5 teams, 3 excellent wins and a narrow loss later saw Minors tied with Ross & Lads Club for the 2 semi final placings, the only way to separate them? 3 penalties against each team, 6 in total per team, best 2 aggregate scores secure the semi finals birth. 18 agonising penalties later and the scores are tied on 2 penalties scored each. What Next? Sudden death penalty shoot out of course! Leominster up First vs Lads Club, Minors Win. Ross v’s Lads Club, Lads Club win. Leominster vs Ross, Ross Win. All teams tied again each team winning 1 sudden death penalty shootout ? What next, well a bit of headscratching by the organisers and then the day postponed to a later date whilst they think something up…. So Leominster vs Ross Juniors vs Lads Club to be continued and who says settling things on Goal difference is unfair……

Leominster Under 10’s were represented excellently on the day by Alfie O’Rourke, Captain Jay Oliver, William Lane, Kai Barnett, Callum Pritchard, Harrison Summers, Cameron Stewart, Tom Griffiths, Elliot Pugh and Joshua Briggs
